One Change Can Make All The Difference

Ever wondered why some people manage to keep their weight off
easily and others just pile it all back on when they stop that
new diet? The answer is easy, it comes down to one simple
change. Before we get to that simple change, you need to keep in
mind these rules of thumb when it comes to dieting. 1. Never do
a diet which forbids a food group. This is simply asking for
trouble. One day, not matter how hard you try, you will eat
something from the forbidden food group and fail. Not very
positive is it? You are setting yourself up for disappointment.
Dieting is hard enough, so try and make it easy as humanly
possible. 2. Never give up trying. Overeating is a little like
smoking, they are both addictive, costly and bad for your
health. People recognise the world over that giving up smoking
is very difficult but overeating is seen as a weakness. No
matter what people may think, you can lose weight. Choose a diet
that is right for you and start again. Never give up trying. 3.
Seek help. You can get help with your weight loss program from
lots of different sources. Online forums are free places where
you can discuss your diet and meet new friends. You can motivate
one another. If you are too shy for forums then some weight loss
programmes offer online support as one of their packages but
these usually involve a charge. Help from friends and family is
free and invaluable to your dieting efforts. Help can motivate
you and encourage you to hit your slimming goals. Now these
three points should help you to chose a healthy diet and
motivate you into trying to lose those extra pounds. Back to
that simple change. People who keep their weight loss off,
change tiny things in their daily life. Instead of full fat milk
they have skimmed, they grill rather than fry and they choose to
reduce the amount of cheese, cream, cakes and biscuits they eat,
every single day. Now you are immediately going to say that that
is lots of changes not just one. To some degree you would be
correct, but not completely. If you look at a photograph it is
one small picture but when looked at closely, it is made up of
thousands of pixels. One small sugar cube is made up of hundreds
of sugar grains and a handkerchief consists of numerous cotton
threads. Almost everything in the world, no matter how small,
can be broken down into even smaller parts. All those tiny parts
still only amount to one small thing. You make several tiny
changes to your lifestyle which you genuinely do not mind and
weight loss becomes easy. Remember, they have to be changes that
you will hardly notice, low fat spread instead of full fat, low
calorie squash or just eating more fruit. Make the one small
change to adjust your eating habits slightly and permanently and
even if you break your diet program, you could still lose weight
slowly and steadily. Good luck with whichever weight loss
program you choose and happy, easy slimming!

Travel - The New Incentive To Get More Business

How do you get prospects to become clients? What extra can you add to your presentation to make the sale? Why not try an incentive? The three top incentives to get people to do anything is cash, products and travel. Cash incentives cost the most and believe it or not are the least effective. The reason being is that you pay dollar for dollar and what little cash you offer is used to pay bills and is quickly forgotten. Products work quite well, and it is true you can by them at a discount off retail but the problem is, most of your clients already have everything. It is almost impossible to guess what they want. Printed mugs, shirts, pens are very old fashioned. What is left to offer, a CD player?

Vacation and travel incentives are one of the most powerful methods of attracting business, retaining profitable clients, increasing profits, enhancing product awareness, and improving employee productivity. Businesses who have used vacation incentives in their marketing and promotions have seen at least 30% increase in their sales!

Why not recreation travel? First of all it is the cheapest. The most successful travel promotion in the country today (I will be mentioning it later in this article) cost 1.5% of its market value! More important recreation travel appeals to everyone. And travel is a long lasting gift. For example, think of all the preparation that goes into effect for a long vacation. Then think of all the pictures that you take during your vacation and remember for a lifetime. That’s right. Memories of a vacation can last forever! How is that for a great incentive! To show you how powerful recreational travel is just look at the most popular screen savers on everyone’s computer. You won’t find pictures of money. You won’t find pictures of products. What you will find is everyone’s dream vacation resort with palm trees in the background. Get the picture! The first words from most lottery winners are - “The first thing I am going to do is go on a long vacation”. I assume you get the point that recreation travel is one hell of an incentive.

According to the results of an email survey conducted by the Incentive Travel Fact Book, 58% say travel is more effective than cash or merchandise. Survey respondents consider travel to be the most effective reward. “Cash bonuses are necessary but travel is a higher reward”, says Verizon’s Porterfield. Porterfield added, “When people spend their money, its gone. But the recognition that comes from travel incentives lives on”. Additionally, in a recent survey of American workers, 85% said they were motivated by vacation travel incentives.

Incentive magazine in their September2003 issue said travel is remembered two to one over cash or merchandise and a USA Today survey said “93% preferred travel over other incentives”. Incentive Magazine said business respondents to a recent survey said travel incentives meet 99% of their objectives.

Travel incentives make great sales incentives. In a special report in Promo Magazine, it was noted that LifeUSA attracted new agents and sent sales soaring by abandoning its annual cash incentive program for an inclusive campaign that gave out merchandise and travel. By the program’s conclusion enrollments exceeded LifeUSA’s initial goal by 700%!

Travel incentives make great employee incentives. Target Appliances President Daryl Gamerman in Maryland said, “We introduced our first travel incentive for sales employees five years ago and since then we’ve only lost staff due to retirement. I don’t ever have a problem with our sales people not working hard or volunteering for extra work, because they know it will help them qualify for a great trip”.

Travel incentives builds customer loyalty. The Frequent Builders Program at Garco Building systems offered travel awards to individuals. Since launching the program, Garco has experienced a 15% to 25% growth rate, compared to the industry standard of 2% to 3%.

COST OF TRAVEL INCENTIVES

Now lets get to the best part. You can buy recreation travel wholesale, and I mean really wholesale. Look at these figures.

Exfoliation To Improve The Tone & Texture Of Your Skin

Exfoliation to improve the tone & texture of your skin.

Did you know how important exfoliation is to your beauty regime?

Do you have a beauty regime that includes exfoliation as part of it?

Exfoliation is a technique that removes cells from the skins surface, which, not only give an immediate refreshing appearance to the skins appearance, but also stimulates cell renewal. The benefits of exfoliation are dramatic, there are a huge variety of techniques available - scrubs, peels, masques dermabrasion to name a few.

Everyone exfoliates naturally, thousands of tiny skin cells fall from our body - about a million every minute. A good exfoliation regimen can help reduce the time that dulling skin cells sit at the surface of our skin to give us a healthier, more vibrant complexion. A good exfoliation programme helps our body with the natural process, which becomes especially vital as we age.

Below are three simple tips to help you exfoliate your skin better.

1. Make sure you get into the habit of exfoliating on a daily basis. This is one of the most important decisions you can ever make regarding health and beauty. Beautiful supple skin can be achieved if you follow a good beauty regime. Exfoliating is one of the most important steps in any good skincare routine.

2. Ensure you buy a good quality exfoliant. If you shop around you will quickly find a quality product to suit your needs and your budget. This is important as there are many types available to suit all types of skin.

3. To get the most of from your new habit of exfoliating on a daily basis, find a good quality moisturiser which suits your skin type. Most manufacturers of moisturising creams provide extensive guides to help you choose the right product for your skin type.

Exfoliation is only one part of a beauty regime but, one of the most important steps.

By following the above three steps you can be sure that this part of your skincare regime is well taken care of.

The Versatile Mango

There are a number of mango varieties grown in Barbados. Most popular are the Julie, Ceylon and the large Imperial mango. At Food Affairs, we are fortunate in that we only use fresh mangoes from our orchard in our recipes, including this one for Mango Bread, a delicious treat to share any time.

MANGO BREAD (makes 2 loaves)

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

2 tsp cinnamon

3 eggs, well beaten

1/4 cup Canola oil

1-1/2 cups granulated sugar

2 cups fresh mango puree

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup fresh grated coconut

Preheat the oven to 35F. Grease and flour two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.

Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon into a small bowl. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, oil and sugar. Combine with the dry ingredients and blend well.

Fold in the mango, raisins, nuts and coconut. Pour into the loaf pans and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown. (To test if bread is done, insert toothpick in the centre of the loaf. When it comes out clean, the bread is done.)

Let the loaves cool in the pans for 15 minutes, then unmold and let cool completely on wire racks.

Generate Consistent Stock Market Profit Through Credit Spread Writing

Copyright 2005 William Tan

Many traders and investors dream about making consistent profit
on the stock market. Typically, investors would turn to
fundamental analysis for medium to long term capital gains while
traders would try to time the market using technical analysis to
spot reversals or advantageous entry point and exit with the
first sign of trouble. Unfortunately for everyone, the stock
market is a zero-sum game. What this means is that for you to
profit someone else would have to lose. The market exchanges
acts like a distribution center of wealth. Essentially, without
knowing, many novice investors and traders are actually trading
against the professional and institutional traders. Who do you
think will win most of the time? The answer is obvious. Credit
Spread is one of the lesser known trading strategies available
to the options trader. This strategy is call “credit spread”
because you actually collect your target profits upfront or a
credit when you enter into a credit spread position. Credit
spreads are directional plays - bull or bear. The bull spread is
called Bull Put Spread while the bear spread is known as the
Bear Call Spread.

The Credit Spread Option Trading Strategy can be constructed to
be a low risk investment vehicle. Using this strategy, we are
able to use time decay in Options prices to our full benefit.
Time decay works towards our advantage the closer it is to
expiration. With this in mind, time can very well be our ally in
our quest for profit. We just need to know how to use time to
help us.

Fact - about 80% of all options expire worthless, it makes sense
that serious and long term investor should only be writing
credit spreads for a living.

How do we profit from Credit Spread?

Assuming that we are writing a Bull Put Spread:

If the stock moves upwards, we make money. If the stock moves
sideways, we make money. If the stock moves lower, but is above
the strike price that we sold our puts, we still make money.

I don’t know about you, but any trade that lets you earn a full
profit when your stock moves higher, when it moves sideways, or
even when it moves lower enhance your winning probability.
Credit spread writing is a powerful trading strategy because, if
written correctly, it provides room for error and you would
still profit even though you are wrong.

The closer it gets to expiration (most of the time 3 rd Saturday
of the month), the better it is for us. We make money using the
passage of time. Many seasoned credit spread traders like to
view the 3rd Saturday of the month as their pay day.

The biggest problem in Stock Options Trading is the race against
time. More than 80% of options expire out-of-money or, in
simpler terms, expire with no value. If you bought options, this
means you would have lost all your money in the trade. So with
this fact in mind, use an Options Trading Strategy that would
put you on the other side of the table. And that is to use a
time profiting trading strategy called Credit Spread.
